Web22 May 2024 · I Am searching for a way to prevent Microsoft Text Input Application from starting. Process name: TextInputHost.exe. You can rename its folder, but it will generate a lot of DCOM 10001 errors in Event Viewer. Like 300 in couple of days. Some DCOM errors can be safely ignored, not sure about this one. WebTextInputHost.exe is known as Microsoft Windows Operating System, it also has the following name Windows Store or Microsoft? Windows? Operating System or Microsoft Windows Operating System and it is developed by Microsoft Corporation . We have seen about 100 different instances of TextInputHost.exe in different location.

Of-course I avoid pressing the Start menu button as that's the only trigger I've found to cause this as well as Windows+H. See if renaming the folder stops the error for your version. WebYou should be able to disable it by navigating to C:\Windows\SystemApps and renaming the folder InputApp_cw5n1h2txyewy You will have to kill the process before it will let you rename it though. You can do the samething for Cortana by renaming Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy
