WebBasal cell cancers (BCCs) are easy to diagnose clinically when ‘classical’, i.e. an ulcerated nodule with a rolled pearly edge and telangiectatic vessels. But they are easier and cheaper to treat if picked up when smaller, and dermoscopy can help. I regularly pick up BCCs down to 3 or 4mm diameter which the patient was not aware of.
