WebNo individual is allowed to perform a “controlled act”, as described below, unless: (1) the person is a member authorized by a health profession Act to perform the controlled act; or (2) the performance of the controlled act has been delegated to the person by a member. WebIn order to ensure that nurses are competent and give their patients safe, effective care, the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) regulates nursing practice in Ontario. The CNO establishes standards for nursing practice and keeps track of nurses' actions to make sure they abide by these standards.
